The photographer had been stalking the alligator for hours. He had seen it swimming in the river earlier that day and had been patiently waiting for it to resurface so he could take his shot. Finally, the alligator surfaced a few yards from where the photographer was hiding behind a tree. The photographer took a deep breath and steadied himself, then slowly emerged from behind the tree, cameras at the ready.
